This clock was a featured prop within a larger holiday show sequence I created for our community in 2024.

It was heavily inspired by Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion Holiday, where the attraction is reimagined with The Nightmare Before Christmas. Over Halloween, the clock was displayed as a traditional town hall clock and over Christmas, I re-themed it with holiday decor to be a near replica of what you see in the park. (A scaled down version of course.)

One unique element for my design is the clock’s mechanism. The movie uses a — what I think is — a ticker tape, and the attraction features a static number. I was inspired by a split-flap display I once saw at a local coffee shop that year, so I designed a built a custom version of this mechanism to bring my own vision of the clock to life.
